We have enjoyed some glorious hot and sunny weather this week which has been lovely and it has meant that we have been able to enjoy time outside every day. It's just a shame that next week when we are off to Butlins, it is looking more like a wet week!! Oh well c'est la vie as they say!!

So back to this week

Sunday - we didn't do a great deal today, visited Granma ans Grampy in the morning and played in the garden this afternoon. Jenson and Burton had a go at hanging onto the branch in our tree which they loved and here is Burton hanging on without Daddy holding his legs!

Monday - usual day of Burton attending Ladybirds and Jenson and I going to our toddler playgroup. When we got home he and I played hide and seek after lunch, and when it was my turn to count I took a while looking for him as I knew he was in the playroom, but clearly I took too long because when I found him he was asleep as the photo shows! So cute!

Tuesday - Today was a warm and sunny day and we spent the day playing outside, painting, trampolining and because we took most of the toys outside the boys had lots to do to keep busy. We were also visited by Lisa and Joe who shared a lunchtime picnic with us in the garden, and then Kimberly popped over to see us this afternoon.

Wednesday - another lovely day spent outside until tea time. We made a den and enjoyed another picnic and Burton decided to hang his toys off this tree!!! The boys were worn out and Jenson fell asleep after tea on the sofa at 5.30pm so I took him to bed!

Thursday - hottest day of the week so far and I ended up catching the sun on my shoulders today!! While Burton was at Ladybirds, his brother and I went to Torrington to meet Lisa and Joe for (yes another) a picnic lunch at a park. It was so nice and we enjoyed an ice cream - first cornet of the year no less! Jenson loves ice cream and even finished off Joe's (not the cornets though just the ice cream parts!). Daddy arrived home early so after tea he mowed the grass while me and the boys ... uhm ... well watched in the evening sunshine.

Friday - spent the morning doing the housework while the boys got up to mischief in their bedroom!! Here is Burton in his racing suit wearing Daddy's rally driving crash helmet and neck support device (the correct name of which I have forgotten!) which Daddy LOVED him trying on!!! Afterwards, we did the food shopping and spent the afternoon playing indoors and outdoors. I stupidly burnt some bacon (cue smoke alarm!) so after making the house smell all clean and fresh it ended up smelling of burnt bacon!! Grrrrr!

Saturday - today has been another sunny, if windier day, and we visited Granma and Grampy and the boys played outside with their cousins. Burton enjoyed swinging on the tyre swing and is closing his eyes and lying back in this photo! As I write this post, the boys, their daddy and Grampy are outside fixing some new gates to our drive to make it more secure for Burton and Jenson. The boys are 'helping' with their toy tool set lol
