Water, Sticks And Stones

Number 19 of the 50 Things To Do Before You're 11 3/4 is

Play Pooh Sticks

Tuesday was a warm and sunny day and it actually felt like spring was finally here! (Short lived though, as today has been wet and windy!)

But while the sun did shine we made the most of it. The boys and I visited my Mum and Step Dad and after lunch we took Shadow (the dog) for his afternoon walk. We always go on the same walk and it takes us to a field which has a stream with a bridge and Shadow always ends up going in for a splash!

The boys and their grandparents decided to play pooh sticks - such a simple activity but one that is a lot of fun for two boys and even funnier when Shadow goes in the water trying to fetch the sticks!!

Of course fetching the pooh sticks to use again is just as much fun because it means being allowed to enter the water and have a play and splash about.

The boys also tried skimming stones but without much success - it was more like throwing in stones to see who could make the biggest splash!

Water, sticks and stones and sunshine = the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
