Its been a lovely week having Daddy home and we got lots done
Sunday - Daddy added some finishing touches to the boys bedroom by sticking some space themed stickers on the walls and ceiling. Jenson wasn't very well this afternoon - high temperature, sleepy and being sick :(
Monday - Daddy is on holiday from work this week. Burton didnt go to Ladybirds because he came down with whatever Jenson had in the night - in fact with the pair of them being ill I didn't get to bed until 3.15am this morning and ended up sleeping on the floor as they each took it in turns to sleep in our bed on my side!! So while Jenson was a bit better today, he crashed out on the floor after playing! Burton spent the day with a high temp and being sick!
Tuesday - both boys were better today (yay!) so while Daddy made a start on decorating our spare bedroom, I took the boys to my mum's where we enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the warm sunshine.
Wednesday - Daddy continued decorating while we had cousin Ben and Granma come over this morning to play. This afternoon Daddy and I took the boys to the local soft play for a couple of hours.
Thursday - Burton went to Ladybirds today. Daddy took Jenson swimming which was lovely for the two of them to do something together just the two of them. After lunch the three of us went shopping for new bedding and curtains for the spare room which is almost finished now. When Burton got home he helped Daddy paint the picture rail for the spare room. Tonight Daddy and I went out for a lovely tapas meal while the boys stayed at his parents house (all arranged by him too!)
Friday - we collected the boys from Granma and Grampy's mid morning and with a picnic packed we headed off to Knight Hayes (a National Trust property) near Tiverton, to meet up with my Mum ,Step Dad, Shadow and my Step Dad's grandson for the day as it was a warmish sunny day. We had a lot of fun rolling down hills and climbing trees - post to follow. Both boys slept on the way home! After dinner we continued to play out in the garden until bath time at 7.30pm because it was so warm and sunny still.
Saturday - another warm and sunny day so we spent the morning out in the garden playing and I did lots of baking and cooking - very productive. This afternoon Daddy took Burton to a local centre which does indoor wall climbing seeing as though Burton enjoyed climbing some trees by himself yesterday. He enjoyed it even though he got frustrated a few times because he didn't get the hang of it first time and wasn't able to climb as high as the older children there (obviously!).
