Sunday was of course Easter Sunday so I hid the eggs that the boys had received from friends, family and us in the garden so they could go on an Easter Egg Hunt. They loved it so much they asked me to hide the eggs so they could do it all over again! This afternoon we went to OH's parents for their annual Easter egg hunt - yet more chocolate!
(Bank Holiday) Monday the boys enjoyed playing with Jenson's new toys. My Mum, Nanny and Step Dad came for a couple of hours to give Jenson their gifts as they didn't make his birthday party as my Mum has had the flu virus. Mum gave Jenson this (loud) guitar and both boys enjoyed strumming it and being 'rock stars'
Tuesday we played out in the garden for most the day and Jenson was given a little gardening set and he tried out the watering can - great fun!
Wednesday I took the boys to the park to meet up with a friend we didn't stay long though as it was very cold and there was a sneaky cold wind. Tonight the boys stayed at their granma and grampy's which was just a swell as the boiler packed in - the flame wont ignite! It is very cold!
I had a lie in Thursday morning until 8.30am with no boys to wake me up (yay). I headed over to see them at their grandparents at lunchtime where they had lots of drawings to show me. Here are some that Jenson did.
Friday the plumber came out and said that the part we needed was not available in our town! Luckily OH came home last night so he went off to Exeter to get said part. It meant we didn't have any hot water either so I gave the boys a bath in the kitchen sink - something I never did with them as babies. Burton LOVED it but Jenson did not and he stood up and got out fast, whereas Burton would have stayed in all day had I let him!!
Luckily for the boys and I it was warmer and sunnier outside than inside so we spent most of the day in the garden and enjoyed our first picnic of the year when we had our lunch outdoors. By the time we came indoors the boiler had been fixed - hurrah!
Today has been another sunny and fairly warm day so we have played out side for most of the day again and enjoyed another lunch picnic in the garden and Daddy joined us for it today. The boys did so many things outside, bouncing on the trampoline, playing with the swing bat, kicking the balls about, digging up the stones in the drive way and messing about on the slide - here is Burton running down it!! *boys!*
The Easter egg hunt looks like lots of fun. Yay to the sun finally some nice weather
ReplyDeleteLove the watering can picture! Looks like you had a great week (except having no hot water..)
ReplyDeleteElla loved bathing in the sink and there were a few times when we went in the kitchen to find she'd climbed in on her own! I soon stopped forgetting to empty the washing up water!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see some sunny photos after all the snow :)
Jensen looks like a little rock star with his guitar. Love the egg hunt photo. Bet they loved all the choc afterwards.
