One Fine Day

Due to all the terrible weather we have been having for what seems like weeks but is probably only actually one week , I stocked up at the weekend with some painting equipment to amuse Burton with on days when we would end up stuck indoors as a result of the dreary weather.

Mid morning today, I got out all of the painting goodies I had much to Burton's excitement and I let him get as creative as he wanted to.....well,within reason and the parameters of the wipe clean mats I had covering our designated painting zone of course! Jenson was watching with much interest so I let him try some hand and foot painting too and he enjoyed feeling the paint ooze between his fingers and toes.

It amazes me how many sheets of paper my budding artist can get through in such a short space of time!

Anyway, by lunchtime we hadn't had any rain for a couple of hours (yes, I know I was gob smacked too!) so I decided then and there that after we had eaten our lunch we would venture outside.

It was lovely, really warm and it felt so nice to be able to go for a walk for a change. We popped into town to return some films to the library and we walk through a church yard on the way. It sounds odd but I like walking through here because you can always tell what season it is based on what the church yard looks like. Today, it was full of long green grass, leafy trees and bluebells: lots and lots of bluebells. So many in fact that Burton asked to get out of the buggy and pick some! So sweet!

We also spotted some further signs of spring as well as a bumble bee, some earwigs on the tree underneath the bark and noticing how trees are taller than Burton! Oh and some puddle splashing was also undertaken!

To round our little trip off we popped into to the cafe at our local M & S for a pit stop

All in all it was a very enjoyable day and no sign of the terrible two's all day - hazah!
