I remember owning one similar to this when I was young and I loved doodling on mine. Not being great at drawing, I liked the fact that I could easily erase any errors I made and be able to start all over again.
Being a Megasketcher, it is larger than some others on the market measuring 40cm x 32cm x 3cm. Personally I think this is an ideal size for young children as the drawing pad part is nice and big which allows for bigger works of art from our budding artists!
The magnetic drawing pad comes with 4 different stamp shapes and a nice big pen,the latter of which is attached to the sketcher to avoid losing it, which believe you me without that piece of cord, would certainly be the case in our home! As it is I am always having to remind Burton to replace the stamps after each use so they don't disappear forever down the back of the sofa.
From the movement the Megasketcher arrived Burton hasn't stopped using it. Every day for the last two weeks he has enjoyed doodling on it and practising writing letters of the alphabet, and some of the drawings he has drawn have been really good. Jenson has also tried to scribble with the pen and make patterns with the stamps and has had fun with it too.
The Megasketcher has certainly brought out the creative side in Burton and he has surprised me with his imaginative artwork and letter copying.
Priced at just £13.99 I think the Tomy Megasketcher is really good value for money as it provides hours and hours of fun and entertainment. It has also been a useful tool for getting Burton to practise writing letters of the alphabet and just being able to get creative and draw without the need for lots of pieces of paper!
The Tomy Megasketcher is available to buy from FindMeAGift.Com
