Sunday - we all went swimming this morning with the boy's cousins and Granma ansd Grampy and their uncle which they all loved. and then everyone came back to ours for a post swim doughnut! This afternoon the boys, daddy and I went to the park with their scooters and they played in the playground and Burton and I went for a longer scoot and he enjoyed jumping off the wall!
Monday - it feels kind of strange that I dont need to say that Burton went to Ladybirds today! Anyway, instead the boys and I spent the day playing at home and in the garden. We also went up and down the avenue on the scooters a few times and looked over the gate at the end to see what we could see (just fields, but we spotted some insects, horses, flowers and a train went past in the distance!)
Tuesday - Burton and I went to Yeo Valley Farm today for a bloggers event in association with the Wildlife Trust which was good fun and involved lots of outdoors activities. Look at the view behind Burton - he had just ran up and down that field twice! Jenson went to my Mum's en route as he had an upset tummy, and he had fun at the park.
Wednesday - another day spent in the garden this time bug hunting, den building and more scootering. Burton found a dead wasp and after clsoe exmanination he did try to nurse it back to health, but alas his plight was doomed from the start really!
Thursday - another day bug hunting in the garden and we found some shield bugs on the space hopper and a dragon fly which flew around us for about 10 minutes! Burton spent most of the latter part of the afternoon trying to climb up the tree in our garden, by throwing the skipping rope over a branch and then he tried to hoist himself up by walking up the tree trunk! Needless to say, he was only able to walk up a couple of steps before falling back down again. In the end Daddy gave him a leg up! He was very pleased to be finally up in that tree!
Friday - we spent the morning in the garden playing in the play tent castle and doing some drawings. After lunch we went to see Granma as she had two of the cousins there so it meant the boys could play with them. Jenson had his first swing on the tyre swing and loved it and he had a go at climbing a tree when my back was turned!
Saturday - swimming this morning and Burton got his pre stage 1 badge and certificate! Afterwards the boys had a water pistol fight at Granma's as we called into pick up something which got left from yesterday's visit. This afternoon I did the food shopping and then Uncle Chris and three of the cousins came to play and had tea and have just gone home now at 7pm!
And that was our week that was!!
