My dearest Jenson,
You are 28 months old now and what a boy you are! You are at such a wonderful age at the moment. You are very funny and you know what face to pull, what expression to use and what to say when you want to make us laugh. Recently the four of us have been playing the yes, no game and while Burton has now got the hang of it you have not. When it is your turn to ask the questions you always ask the same ones which are:
Is your name Mummy?
Did you have a shower?
Did you have a bath?
Do you like Raa Raa?
You have become really confident in the playground now and it is hard to keep up with you running in between all the play equipment, and you look so big sat in the swings now! And you are loving swimming and you are so confident in the water just as your brother was and indeed still is! You jump in from off the side and you look so cute in your goggles and arm bands. However, you do make Daddy and I smile when you complain after about half an hour that you are freezing cold and then once in the shower in the changing area that the water is boiling hot and you wont have one!
You amaze me with the words you come out with for your age - your vocabularly is fantastic. It may not be for your age of coourse, but we only have Burton to compare you against and at the same age as you are now, he could only speak a few words! You have recently started using your scooter and you are doing so well on it scooting along confidently and at quite a good pace.
You love drawing and scribble away quite happily pictures of me, Daddy and Burton.Your favourite books at the moment are
The Tiger That Came To Tea
Room On The Broom
Day Monkey and Night Monkey (it's really funny)
Superworm
You love playing Gone Shopping, Crazy Chefs, Cupcake Game and of course play dough. I think you would play that all day every day if I let you!
Sometimes you are a bit like the daughter I never had (just my little joke Jenson!) in that you love wearing my jewellery and hair accessories and you love to help me wth the washing, making the beds and when I get the hoover out , you get your toy one and pick up the mess for me! You also have a thing about boobies *sighs* you love to point mine out - in public! - and you have taken to stuffing your monkey down your tee shirt and then declare my boobies are bigger than yours mummy! You even brought it up the other day at lunch time while eating strawberries, you had some strawberry in your cheek which protruded out and you cheekily said look mummy, it looks like a boobie!
You are such a happy and loving little boy, cheeky and very funny. Mind you, you are not that little anymore as you are so big now, and I think sometimes it is easy to forget that you are only two. I think you will miss not having Burton around as much once he starts school in September because you will miss not having him here to play with. I will miss him too. However, you and I, will have lots more time to ourselves won't we? And you are already telling me
Here are some photographic highlights from the last couple of months showing what you have been up to
I love you my sweetheart
Lots of love always
Mummy
