So something amazing has happened this week. A rare occurence for this time of year in fact. A yellow spherical shape which radiates a lot of heat has appeared in the bright blue sky. Yes, the sun - the sun has come out and it is hot , maybe a little too hot, and, and during the summer! Not spring or early Autumn but July a summer month - I know, it is unheard of!
As a result of this heatwave, we decided to invest in a decent paddling pool as we figured that we would get a lot of use from it while this beautiful weather lasts (two weeks apparently). We only bought it Sunday afternoon and we have used it every day so far.As soon as it was up and water was being poured into it, both boys eagerly stripped off and wanted to get right in naked! The water was freezing cold and not very deep but they excitedly splashed about for 20 minutes!
Monday morning it was looking so inviting out on our decking that Jenson and I took a dip while Burton was at pre school
But as soon as he was home, Burton couldn't wait to jump in !
Even Daddy took a rare break from work to have a dip and cool off from the confines of his hot and stuffy office room!
There has also been some before bedtime skinny dipping!
And some water throwing which was not always well received by Jenson!!
Thank you sun for making an appearance this week and allowing us to have some fun in the sun and encouraging Daddy to buy a decent paddling pool!!!! Even if this 'summer' only lasts for a fortnight we will have made the most of it.
Wow, check out the paddling pool, love it. Great photos!
