Joseph's Birthday Party (179/365)
Sunday - we celebrated my birthday today and I had the best cuddles from the boys this morning after being away for a couple of days! I received some more lovely presents and my Mum arrived with a birthday cake! Here is Burton trying on a new necklace I was given with some toy glasses to look silly! Well, it made me laugh.
Monday - While Burton was at Ladybirds Jenson and I did some food shopping and then when we got home he played with the Playdoh - which he managed to cover most the kitchen floor with! - while I made some turkish delight rocky road. When we went to collect Burton the boys had a race to the car park which Burton won, much to Jenson's disappointment!
Tuesday - Not a very exciting day really. We spent it playing and after lunch the boys made a den in the garden with the castle play tent - even though it collapsed they still spent ages sat inside it pretending they were in their castle and took play food inside too to 'eat'!
Wednesday - the boys, cousin Ben, Granma and I went to Appledore beach for some rock pooling fun again. It wasn't as warm as we had hoped, but we stuck it out for a few hours neverthless and found some crabs and enjoyed a picnic on the rocks.
Thursday - Burton went to Ladybirds and Jenson and I did some housework - well I did and Jenson just gave me some instructions while he played with the play dough. This afternoon Burton had his final session at his new big school and when I collected him afterwards I took him and Jenson to the garden centre for a drink and a snack.
Friday - It rained almost all day so the boys were a but fed up as they couldn't go and bounce on the trampoline. Instead they did some crafty work and we tidied up their playroom and gave it a good clean as it was a bit over due to be honest! This evening we went to tea at a friend's house for a BBQ - the rain did stop for about an hour and a half just long enough to cook the food, before we had to retreat inside to eat it. The boys had fun playing with Ryan's (our friend's son) toys and sitting on his bunk bed!! What a novelty to climb up and down a ladder!!
Saturday - early hair cut for Burton and then a swimming lesson for him at the pool. After lunch he had a birthday party to attend which was fun. It gave me a chance to meet the boy's parents too as I may get to know them in the future as their son and Burton will be going to the same school in September, and are in the same reception class. After the party we collected Daddy and Jenson and went to Granma's and Grampy's where all the cousins were too for a BBQ tea.
And that is that - not especially exciting but still tiring nonethless. I think last weekends trip to Britmumslive has made me tired all week!
You have some very lovely beaches near you, and the boys always look really happy there. Hope you had a brilliant birthday!
