Climb A Tree
Roll Down A Really Big Hill
Last Friday the OH, the boys and I met my Mum and Step Dad and my step nephew at Knight Hayes a National Trust property near Tiverton. It was a sunny although slightly windy but that didn't prevent us from enjoying a picnic lunch.
We explored the gardens and grounds and OH and the boys decided to have a go at rolling down a hill - when I say 'hill' it was more like a steep slant but they had fun anyway!! It made me smile and even more so when looking back at the video and photos I took, how the boys roll all over the place and not in a straight line!!
Then while walking around the gardens we found some trees. Not just any old trees you understand, but trees which were perfect for climbing. After a couple of legs ups to begin with, Burton managed to climb up a couple of trees all by himself with no help from Daddy and was very pleased with himself and had to show us several times his new found skills!!
It was a very enjoyable afternoon and both boys slept all the way home!!
Here are two short videos I took of the boys rolling down the hill
I did film Burton climbing a tree too but unfortunately he accidently deleted it on the way home before he fell asleep!! Never mind I am sure there will be plenty more opportunities.
