Last Saturday Jenson turned two years old. Daddy, Burton and I were up before he was, so we waited until we heard him talking and then brought him down to open his presents and see all his balloons. We bought him a balance bike just as we did for Burton on his second birthday.
I asked Burton what he wanted to give Jenson for his birthday and he told me some sunglasses and before Jenson could even try out his bike, Burton proudly and excitedly handed his brother his present!
Which Jenson then modelled for us!
Cool sunglasses Jenson :)
One of his presents from my friend were some chocolate buttons, well you can imagine what was then asked for! Well, it was his birthday!
Then his Granma and Grampy arrived and brought with them a large present
containing a quad bike!
Naturally, big brother wanted to ride it too!
He tried out his bike with some help from Daddy and Monkey
At 3pm Jenson's party began with 10 guests. For the first time since I have been organising birthday parties for my children, I felt the most organised and relaxed as it was all ready with about 5 minutes to go! This was due to my friend Kimberly helping me an hour before finish off the party food! We hired a bouncy castle for the garden and although a little cold the sun was shining.
After a game of pass the parcel the children had their food at 4.30pm (you can read about what I made here) and the theme was Raa Raa The Noisy Lion.
Then it was time for the cake
Jenson was so funny trying to blow out his candles because the way he did it was more about blowing upwards to his hair than outwards towards the candles!
The last of the party guests left about 5.45pm and then we retired to the lounge to look at the presents that the guests had brought the birthday boy. Within a few minutes of sitting on the sofa, my newly turned two year old had fallen asleep! Well, it's hard work having a birthday!

ReplyDeleteYou are such a fabulous mummy and both of your boys are so handsome.
The photo of him on the quad bike is so funny, his expression makes me laugh, it's like he *knew* Burton would want a go.
You look amazing xx
Looks like Jenson had a great birthday, you did a great job! I bet having so much room in your house & garden made it easier. I can't believe he's 2 already, doesn't seem that long ago that you were expecting!! X
