The Kids Cooking Company Review And Giveaway

As many of you will have gathered by now, I love making and eating cakes. I do try to involve my boys wherever possible in helping to make cakes from time to time, to get them interested in food and how certain  foods are made and to let them have fun. Oh and of course eat the cake batter leftovers from the mixing bowl!!

The Kids Cooking Company specialises in products which will appeal to children and get them interested in baking cakes. The colourful accessories it sells like aprons, mixing bowls and cookware all feature happy characters designed to make cooking fun and to encourage children to get creative in the kitchen.

The Kids Cooking Company have recently launched a new range of cupcake sets 

These cute little kits come with a character soon, a recipe card, cupcake cases and some cake topper decorations. 

We were sent the Dinosaur Cupcake Set and a couple of weeks ago the boys and I attempted to bake some  cupcakes using the recipe supplied. 

The recipe was easy to follow and all was going really well until I removed the batch of cakes from the oven - I dropped them on the floor!!! Eeeeeeek! So we quickly made another batch of cupcakes but had to use cake cases which I already had in my baking drawer, and this time I managed to successfully not drop them upon removing them from the oven after cooking!!! Then we set about making our frosting and decorating our cakes with the chocolate coloured beans and mini mallows

These kits retail for £6.99 which is a little pricey I think as an everyday purchase. However, I do think that as a gift idea they are fab because they certainly appeal to young children and make them excited about baking - my eldest couldn't wait to start making some dinosaur cupcakes. I could see any of the children I know who I buy birthday gifts for, being happy to receive one of these sets as a present.
