The Christmas Tag

I have been tagged by the lovely theboyandme in a Christmas meme and as I am definitely more Merry Christmas than bah humbug, I just have to join in. Afterall it would be Rude-olph of me not too (boom boom)!!

Q1. What's your favourite thing about Christmas?

Everything!!! I love the build up, the cheesy Christmas pop music, seeing the lights lit up in shops and in the streets and peoples houses and gardens. I love buying and wrapping the presents, making and eating the lovely food you only buy at Christmas. Putting the tree and decs up. I love cooking the dinner when its my turn to host and all the prepping that goes with it. Going to bed Christmas Eve still feeling as I did as child and watching Christmassy films.

Since becoming a parent, I can love it even more because I can live my excitement of it through them now!!! Seeing their little faces see all the festive fun is brilliant and makes me VERY happy and excited!!!!!

Q2. What's your favourite make up look for the festive season?

A red nose, red cheeks and a cracker hat!!! Seriously?? I don't, its the same old same old for me. 

Q3. Real or fake tree?

Real has to be real. I love the smell and going to choose one and pick the one which I feel will look the nicest in our home. Yes there are needles on the floor but its only for a few weeks and you can hoover them up each day. 

I am sure that Burton will be more involved now in selecting one so goodness knows what we could end up with!!

Q4. Giving presents or receiving them?

Giving every time. I take a lot of time in choosing presents for people and I enjoy seeing them open their gifts to check that they like them too. Again, since having the boys I adore seeing their excited little faces light up as they see what lays hidden beneath the wrapping paper.

Q5. Do you open your presents Christmas morning or evening?

Christmas morning and then again after lunch. I have to admit that when I moved out of home and lived with my ex I would open a present at midnight from a friend just becaue I could - you know, my house, my tree my rules!! Now though I wait until the actual morning and not the turning of midnight!

Q6. Handmade Christmas cards or bought?

Since having Burton we have made our own unqiue photographic cards for close friends and family. The boys will make their own too, maybe this year or if not definitely starting next year (depends how organised I am this December!)

Q7. What's your favourite Christmas film?

The Polar Express is now a firm favourite - the ending makes me cry every time I see it.
When I was young I always liked to watch Home Alone just before Christmas as that always got me feeling festive.

Q8. Whats your favourite Christmas food?

Uhm all of it!! Really, I love the main dinner, I love the nibbles, the mince pies, the left overs - the meat served cold with the veg made into bubble and squeak. Its just the most wonderful time of the year!!
