Hotel Chocolate Advent Calendars - A Review

First thing this morning there was a very loud knock on my door and to my surprise this is what I found

I cannot tell you how excited I was. I mean its only chocolate......right?

Wrong!

Its only Hotel Chocolate!!!

I fell in 'love' with this brand of yummy chocolatelyness a few years ago when I visited one in Exeter. Well I thought I had died and gone to Chocolate Heaven! I spent ages browsing and smelling eyeing up the products for sale.

In preparation for Christmas, Hotel Chocolate have various delectable chocolate gifts available to buy and some (posh) advent calendars. Now I have to be honest, when I was a child I had an advent calendar with a chocolate figure inside each of the 24 doors, that I excitedly opened each day in December. However, the chocolate figurines I had back then don't compare to the ones I have already tasted so far in this advent calendar. 

I was sent the white chocolate advent calendar which is soooooo pretty to look at and is almost a shame to have to tear carefully *ahem*  open the box.

 Very sparkly and festive and very tastefully (get it??) packaged.

 My only complaint ......... is that the chocolates are a little tricky to remove from their advent door. I mean it doesn't put me off the chocolates or stop me from eating them, I mean I enjoy a challenge! But they didn't want to leave their foil enclosures easily!!

As you can see my OH and I have already tested a few of these chocolates - obviously to write a good and honest review a few have to be consumed!!
