So you are 14 months old - what a big boy
Time flies by and you're growing so quickly
Establishing your character upon us much more
Being very funny, smiley and ever so cheeky
You love playing outside enjoying the fresh air
Exploring the world around you, taking it all in
And your favourite outdoors activities include
Going down slides and being pushed in a swing
You have a big appetite for one so small
And you really enjoy eating your food
You try using a spoon but mostly your fingers
You're a pleasure to feed though which is good
Everything's an adventure when you're 14 months old
Trying so many new things is just so much fun!
Books, toys, soft play and even the playground
Although the latter is much better when there is sun!
Having a big brother means your toys get taken over
Everything you want he wants too and he usually wins
Your brotherly bond is special and keeps on growing
Although there are tears there are also many loving grins
Walking is something you are still trying to master but
You can walk across the lounge now, clever you
Your face lights up and you clap your hands,
So proud of yourself, as I am of you

I am linking this up to Flashback Friday
Aww, gorgeous post!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww this is really really lovely Jenny. The last line brought a tear to my eye and I love the photos, in particular the last one of the two of you.
ReplyDelete14 months have gone so quick. I remember the day I discovered you on Twitter, it was the day you gave birth to him (I think!)
I am jealous of how well he does with food though! I long for a child who will just eat anything. xx
He is adorable Jenny and it is a lovely poem xx
ReplyDeleteHe is so adorable, this is such a great post and a lovely poem. Beautiful x
ReplyDeleteThose are very cute pics and a really good, wonderfully written rhyme.

ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful poem for a beautiful boy. He's so gorgeous and happy in every shot, bless him.
ReplyDeleteEven with 4 children I still watch them grow with amazement - it is so wonderful watching them develop into little people.
