ThinQ Fitness And Me

Right let me make one thing perfectly clear. I am rubbish at keeping fit. Like totally rubbish and useless. I really want to get toned and fit and healthier, but I just lack some crucial criteria

*I have very little willpower
*I don't really have the time
*I don't get any 'me' time let alone exercise time
*I am lazy when it comes to exercising

I have exercised in the past, by joining body pump classes and step aerobic workouts but never for very long. I do actually enjoy swimming and I used to go twice a week at least, when I had an office job, often going either before work or in my lunch hour! However, for the last four years my 'exercise' routine consists of pushing the buggy, pacing up and down my stairs or housework!

See, rubbish!

So when I was approached by ThinQ Fitness to check out their website and/ or their brand new app which offers a range of quick exercise videos for people that lead busy lives, I was interested to investigate further. I mean, I lead a busy life with barely anytime to myself so being able to watch and exercise alongside some work out videos sounded ideal!

The App is very user friendly and after logging in you are faced with a selection of options to choose your perfect workout from

I would say that there is a selection available to suit most people as afterall we are all looking to work on specific areas of our bodies. Not only can you focus on areas that you want to improve but if you are up against it time wise, you can simply select a workout based on its length of time!

My problem areas are well everywhere ha ha! No seriously I guess I would like to improve my stomach as it is still wobbly following on from childbirth 13 months ago, my upper arms as I have bingo wings and my thighs. I would love to improve my overall fitness and stamina too. Bearing in mind that I agreed to review this App a month ago, and it took me about two weeks in to actually look at trying out a video (see I am lazy!) , I started with the short workouts (see barely anytime to myself!)

Now I will be honest again, I did attempt one of the workouts (an abdominal one) BUT I didn't quite manage it all the way though. It was hard! However, I know that with perseverance on my part I would and that is true of any of the workouts. I need to stick at it!

As well as videos targeting specific areas of the body, there are also some fun ones like belly dancing, street dancing and samba. These are very upbeat and energetic!!

Several of the videos on the App/website are free BUT in order to gain access to the entire ThinQ Fitness content you need to pay a monthly fee of £4.99. However, if you don't do this and wish to see a video which requires payment then you can just pay as you exercise with most videos starting from 49p.

Despite the fact that even with the opportunity of a months free membership to the ThinQ Fitness I still don't use it to my best advantage and get really fit for a month, I would highly rate the App. Seeing as though I am unable to commit to joining a gym or exercise class on a regular basis, and even if I could dedicate the time I don't know if I could afford to go being a full time SAHM, this App is brilliant as it allows someone like myself to get fit at home at a time that is convenient and at only £4.99 a month it's very good value for money. Plus being an App or available on the Internet, means exercising can be done on the go too anywhere you are as long as you have WiFi connection of course!

Maybe one day I will give myself the kick up the behind I need to motivate and commit myself to finally getting fitter and healthier! ThinQ Fitness is an ideal tool to help me achieve this.......one day......soon!!

You can visit the ThinQ Fitness website here:

I was given 1 months free membership to the ThinQFitness for the purpose of this review. All opinions expressed about exercise sand their product are my own.

  1. Haha I love your honesty. Its hard work fitting in exercise as well as being busy with children all day. This looks pretty good though so thanks for sharing. I am going to need all the help I can get once this baby is out x

  4. It does look great and a very clever idea! Like you I am totally rubbish at exercise and really love food, so should try harder! I am always buying exercise games for the wii and then use them once so I would probably be the same with something like this!
