Meal Planning Monday #2

I stuck to my planner pretty well last week. I made only a couple of slight adjustments like no meatballs just a roasted vegetable pasta for one of the boys meals. Also we ended up having meals provided for us as a result of two family get togethers this weekend, so this means I can carry a couple of meals over into this week. This works out rather nicely as I am still trying to budget better, so I think this week will see me using meals up from the freezer and items from my food cupboard as much as possible.

With this in mind my meal planner this week is as follows:

Monday

Lunch :
cottage pie (leftover from Mums on Saturday!) for Jenson
: Burton is poorly so not sure what he will want
: ham pasta salad for OH and Me

Dinner:
Italian style bacon and tomato mash potato topped pie (leftovers from freezer)

Tuesday

OH out today

Lunch :
Homemade sausage meatballs & roasted vegetable pasta sauce (leftovers
of both in freezer) for B & J
Roasted veg pasta for me

Dinner:
Homemade sausage meatballs & roasted vegetable pasta sauce for OH
Jacket Potato & Beans for me

Wednesday

We will be having lunch at Granma's, and its her turn to cook this week.

Dinner:
chili con carne & rice for OH
ham salad for me

Thursday

Burton at Ladybirds/ OH out today

Lunch:
beans on toast for me
scrambled egg & beans on toast for Jenson

Dinner:
Slow Cooker roast chicken, salad and homemade potato wedges

Friday

Lunch:
Homemade pizza for all of us

Dinner:
Chicken, bacon & roasted pepper pasta bake & salad

Saturday

Lunch:
Spaghetti bolognese

Dinner :
we are out at a wedding anniversary 'do'

Sunday

Will leave open as not sure where we will be or what we are doing

So not terribly exciting BUT will make room in my freezer which is full again at the moment, and hopefully save a few pennies on food shopping this week.

  2. I'm a big fan of chilli - yummy! We do it in the slow cooker.
Sounds like a great menu, perfect for this time of year with lots of salads x

  3. Sounds delicious! I recently discovered you could slow cook a chicken and absolutely love it, never will I eat a dry chicken again!

  6. All sounds yummy!  I never knew you could cook an entire chicken in a slow cooker!  Must get one - I only have a rice cooker with a slow cooker setting and its not very big, definitely not big enough for a chicken...
