Brio Duck Pull Along Wooden Baby Toy Review

I love wooden toys. Not for me of course, but for my children. I think they are quite beautiful actually, and look lovely too. They are the type of toys which I hope my boys will enjoy playing with for years to come and that they will survive long enough for maybe grandchildren to also have fun with.

Brio make wonderful wooden toys (we already have one of their train sets which was a Burton's Christmas present last year), and we were recently sent the Brio Duck Pull Along Wooden Baby Toy to have a play with.

Now as soon as I accepted this product, I knew that despite it being a 'baby' toy a certain toddler would be playing with it the most! And I was right! As soon as Burton saw the box with the photograph of the duck on it, he could not wait for me to open it and take it out for him to see it! He was then kept occupied with the duck for a good hour and had lots of fun taking it for a walk across the lounge floor!

When I was able to hold the toy in my own hands for a few moments, I loved the feel of it; smooth and weighty and a quality toy as I would expect from Brio. It is also a really cute duck to look at and very appealing to youngsters with its use of bold primary colours: from it's bright yellow beak and wings, white body and tail, and red neck and wheels. Another really lovely feature is that as the duck moves along the ground, head moves and it's wings flap! My two found these particular features very endearing.

Jenson, the actual baby, has found the duck very funny and rather tasty, when he has been able to play with the duck of course!

Not walking yet, Jenson hasn't used the duck as a pull along toy but has still laughed at it whenever Mummy or big brother has let it waddle past him.

Priced at just £11.99 and suitable for children aged 19 months and over, I think this gorgeous duck is excellent value for money, especially given that it is made from solid wood. Available to buy from the online nursery shop Hello Baby, which sells a wide range of baby toys, baby safety and travel products and nursery furniture, this superb wooden pull along duck would make a fantastic gift for the little people in your life.

And let's face it, no batteries required either!

I was sent a wooden duck for the purpose of this post. All comments and opinions about it are my own and honest.

  1. How funny, G does not get pull along toys. She has a couple of really nice wooden ones (and plastic ones) but she really doesn't get the point of them. I hope she'll get into them eventually or I / our friends just wasted a lot of money
