Sistema Microwave Give Away & Review

Being a mum of two children under three I am always on the look out for ways of saving time in the kitchen. With the odd exception I always make all my meals from scratch and the majority of my meals are made in my slow cooker. However, if I haven't found inspiration of what to cook and haven't been prepared enough to set my slow cooker up, I often find myself wondering what I am going to cook and how I will find the time while looking after the boys!!

I was offered the opportunity recently to test out some Tupperware with a difference! Sistema KLIP IT Microwave is a range of containers that contain steamers making it easy - and fast! - to make healthy and nutritious steamed meals for your family.

And because these products have the klip it seals you know that they are durable and safe to handle.

So here is a quick Mummy Mishaps guide as to how to steam vegetables and some salmon.

Add a little amount of water to the bottom of the medium microwave steamer, beneath the colander being careful to ensure that the food will be sitting in the water. Then place your vegetables into the colander tray and cook for as long as needed. In the case of my baby vegetables 3 1/2 minutes

Seal the tub by pressing down the klip it tabs and open the air vent on the lid.

Then cook in the microwave for the designated time (my baby vegetables took 4 minutes and my salmon 8-9 minutes in my medium microwave plate)

and dinner is served

Another great feature about these tubs its that they are suitable for home freezing and can be placed straight into the microwaves and reheated in the tub itself!! Brilliant!

This video shows you everything you need to know about these fantastic time saving steamers

I was also sent a soup mug
Which can be used to heat drinks like soup, hot milk or noodles in the microwave which you can then use at home or take with you on the go due to its lid and large handle.

These items have proven to be a very handy addition to my kitchen and because they are microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe and stackable they are also a welcome addition!! Easy to store and I love the red colour!
