Whenever I think of Easter, I have to be completely honest and admit that I think of chocolate Easter eggs. I remember ripping open the over sized packaging to reveal the foil wrapped egg, removing it and carefully breaking the egg in half so that I could then bang the two halves together to make a clip clip clip clip sound like a horse makes!! Ahhhh happy days....... And that was only last year! *ahem*
Anyway, of course Easter is also about crafts like making an Easter bonnet or Easter cards or maybe even painting your own Easter eggs. ASDA is stocking a great range of Easter fun arts and crafts to keep your children amused over the Easter holidays and of course they are all excellent value for money starting from just £1!
I was sent one of their 'Paint Your Own Easter Eggs' kit for Burton to try out.
Now the decorating and colouring of eggs at Easter time has become an Easter holiday tradition, allowing activities such as Easter egg hunts and rolling eggs down hills to become symnominous with this time of year. Having googled 'Easter egg painting' on google, I am amazed by some of the decorative details that people can paint on eggs
Mummy and Burton had egg decorating envy!! |
Ok so here is our attempt of a pattern
And this next one is a rabbit - an Easter bunny you could say (or maybe not!)
It didn't help that Burton merged all four paint colours into one 'new' brown colour!! I think his designs are very umm well abstract!
For just £2.00 this kit is egg-cellent value for money and it kept Burton amused for quite a while, although he did think that the wait for the paint to dry was took too long, as every couple of minutes he asked me "mummy is the paint dry yet?"!
I was sent this product for the purpose of this review and all comments and opinions are my own.
