Children's Clothing By Emma Bunton & Argos

I love buying clothes and when I found out I was pregnant more than three years ago now, I was happy with the thought that I would have another excuse to go clothes shopping! Now almost three years later, and two boys later, I have even more reasons to browse the clothing aisles in the high street shops and supermarkets which pleases me very much!!

I was recently asked if my boys would like to trial some clothes from Argos . Now I have to be honest it never occurred to me to check out Argos for clothes for my children, so I was actually pleasantly surprised by what was on offer for my boys. What swayed my opinion a bit more was the fact that Argos have just launched a new clothing range designed by Emma Bunton, who a Mum herself explains

as a mum of two I found myself constantly searching for fun, practical and comfortable clothes for my kids, that were also stylish and cool. I just couldn't find what I was looking for at a reasonable price on the high street.

The clothes Emma has designed come in 3 collections:
 Baby, Girl and Boy

I was allowed to choose the clothes for my boys to review and I chose a stylish combo for Burton in size 3-4, which meant that the trousers are a little big for him but he has plenty of room to grow in to them
The sweater is a printed guitar hoodie priced at £14.99 and made from 100% cotton, which is really soft and comfy and looks really lovely on him I think. The grey cuffed jeans have an elasticated waistband and matching leg cuffs which are very different to his normal trousers that he wears. Priced at £15.99 they are easy to move around and play in and good quality. Burton said "me like these" when I showed them to him, and when I explained that it was guitars on his top he said "like Daddy's" as Daddy has three guitars hanging on his office wall!

All the clothes in Emma's Boy collection are on trend and yet practical at the same time, as she explains

I have 2 little boys myself, so this collection is very close to my heart and the design process has been a real family affair. The whole range has Beau's seal of approval, so I know that boys are going to love this collection as well as parents.
We've taken inspiration from our musical heritage and created cool, fashionable clothing that is super
comfortable and practical - clothing that boys can be boys in

Jenson is modelling a pair of trousers from Emma's Baby collection.
These stripe jersey trousers, priced at £7.99, do have a matching polo shirt to match, but unfortunately it wasn't currently available at the time in Jenson's size, due to being out of stock. However, the fit of these jersey trousers is lovely and I really like the colour on him as he has a couple of items of clothing already in these colour ways. They are made from 100% cotton and are available from age 3 to 24 months for sizing.

Emma's inspiration for the baby wear was again from her own first hand experience of being a mum

As a mother myself I know we all want comfortable, practical clothes for our babies, that look gorgeous and don't cost the earth.
So that has been at the heart of everything I've designed - I've paired soft, cosy and wearable fabrics with cute and stylish designs

Asides from Emma Bunton's clothing ranges, Argos also sells other brands and so we were also sent a shortie romper suit with a matching hat for Jenson to try out.
This Chad Valley dinosaur romper and hat combo is only £8.99 and is a great brightly coloured and fun little summer outfit. I couldn't get Jenson to wear his hat quite long enough for a successful photo to be taken, but when wore as a two piece ensemble it does look very cute.

I will be sure to check out the Emma Bunton range of clothes again for something a little bit different yet still at a reasonable price for my boys.

I was sent these outfits for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions about them are my own, as are the gorgeous children featured in this post wearing the clothes!!
I will only allow my children to trail products that I feel are appropriate and suited to them and their needs.

  1. Good ol'Argos,   although I miss them it's quite nice to know that Leo will never sit as I did as a child making a Christmas list from the catalogue that basically involves listing the entire toy section!      Those clothes look great, and I'm looking forward to romper suits again - they are so cute  :)

  2. I used to love dressing The Boy in romper suits, so easy, cool and gorgeous. Jenson looks very sweet in his and Burton looks like a proper dude in this tracksuit.
