I really love my range cooker.
When I think back to my student dwelling days and when I was in my 20's renting awful flats, which I could barely afford to live in due to my low wages, I was just grateful to have a cooker/oven which actually worked. They were never that great and as long as I had a match to light the grill and oven - dangerous occupation that - I could manage to cook a meal. When I was able to afford to buy my own house towards the end of my 20's , I was lucky that the built in kitchen came with a fantastic modern oven and hob which worked at a touch of a switch and not a match or a piece of paper lit by a lighter! Oh it was just wonderful! Its funny how such a simple necessity was such a big deal to me back then.

Since I met my current partner, the kitchen has become my domain and I spend a lot of time in it cooking family meals and thinking up my cake creations, a hobby of mine. Therefore, its really important to me now that I have the right tools for the job. When we installed the new kitchen in our previous home, my OH was adamant that he wanted a range cooker. If I am honest I wasn't that bothered as I just thought about all the cleaning I would need to do to keep it looking so fabulous!
Luckily for me my OH ignored my house work concerns and after searching online for ages at specialist stores like Homegoods Range Cookers, he chose and bought a range cooker for our newly fitted kitchen. I have to admit that from the first moment I saw it I was hooked and I loved it. It was the focal point of my kitchen, infact of our home as it was one of the first things visitors would notice upon entering our then open plan downstairs living quarters. It was also not as hard to keep clean as I had originally dreaded !! Therefore by the time we decided it was time to move to a bigger house, I was a bit gutted to leave behind my lovely kitchen and my beloved range cooker - I mean I was used to having such a wonderful kitchen cooking appliance and didn't think I would have one again so soon. I had become a bit of an oven snob and as much as I would be grateful for any oven/cooker as long as it was relatively modern and it worked, secretly I would miss not having a range anymore.
How wrong I was. Luckily for me, the house we have now moved to has an even bigger range cooker than the one I had at our old address! It really is a bonus to move to a new home and have an even better kitchen than I had before with an even better range cooker! I didn't think it would be possible because my last one fulfilled my kitchen requirements and made me very happy.
Still, a new and improved range cooker means even more oven space to bake even better cakes!!
This is a sponsored post, but I really do heart range cookers.
