Your Opinions Please

Hello lovely blog readers!!!

I wondered if you could please help me.

A leading detergent manufacturer is in the process of creating a brand new online residence with the premise of it being a base for sharing idea and tips on how to raise active, healthy and happy children more easily.

This new 'forum' will be specifically aimed at parents like us. I have therefore been asked to give my thoughts on some name ideas for it and gage what other parents think of them too.

Therefore, I was hoping you, my dear, dear friends (!!) would let me know in the comments boxes below your thoughts on them too.

You are welcome to just tell me your favourite or least favourite name suggestion, BUT what would be even better is for you to give me your reasons why aswell. After all, one name can conjure up something completely different than another.

So the names that this leading detergent manufacturer have come up with are as follows:

The Active Mother
Mother's Playground
Impractical Mum
Adventures in Parenthood
MumsWorld
Destnation Mum

I have strong opinions on some of the names and can instantly identify ones that I think are unsuitable - how about you?

I would really appreciate your feedback by Sunday 6th November please.

Thank you :)

  1. adventures in parenthood is my favourite because adventure is the name of the game, in all honesty.
nothing with mums in it, because dads are great too and it's unfair to cut them out

  2. 'Adventures in Parenthood' in the only one that doesn't have a sexist bias - and the others seem rather patronising to 'mums' anyway.

  3. Adventures in Motherhood sounds best as it appeals to both male and female. I dislike The Active Mother as it just doesn't sound right x

  4. I really like Mothers' Playground. Some of the others sounds like blogs, and one of them sounds quite negative (IMHO).

  5. Adventures in Parenthood. In this day and age surely they can't really be trying to imply that laundry is for mums only!!

  6. I just realised that I was assuming, for some reason, that 'detergent manufacturer' meant laundry detergent. Housework, then! I am quite horrified at all the titles with the words 'mum' and 'mother' in them.

Also I am not sure why anyone would want to identify themselves with a forum called 'Impractical Mum'. That is definitely my least favourite of all.
