Chicken Run!

My OH's parents are fortunate to live in a house which has some land surrounding it and they have just purchased some chickens, so they can have fresh eggs for themselves and for their grandchildren.

Yesterday while we were visiting them, they took Burton to the chicken run to help collect some eggs and feed the chickens.



















He was a little heavy handed when placing the eggs in the bowl - we were lucky not to have cracked eggs considering! He seemed to enjoy himself though :) and even tried to hold one of the hens!

It is good for him to see where certain foods come from. He had a couple of the eggs for lunch today scrambled, and he helped crack them (half in the bowl and half on the floor!) and whisk them. Egg-cellent work Burton lol
