Penny and the Pirates - Review & Giveaway

Ahoy there land lovers!

I was very kindly sent a copy of The Adventures Of Penny The Postie - Penny and the Pirates to review. This I was very happy to do as I love reading stories to Burton as he enjoys listening to them and pointing at the pictures,of which this book has plenty.

re
The story revolves around Penny, a postwoman, who upon discovering a strange old postbox gets pulled inside and whisked off on a magical adventure and finds herself on a dessert island. She soon meets Captain Titch who is upset because he is no longer able to be a pirate captain due to Captain BullyBones (the meanest pirate on the high seas) stealing his ship! So with Penny's help the two unlikely friends set out to retrieve the ship and re- instate Captain Titch's title, and of course find a way to get Penny back home.

This is a delightful story written and illustrated by Keith Robinson and published by Guernsey Post. It was great fun reading it aloud and adopting a pirate voice (ahaaaa!) which made Burton laugh and he very much enjoyed pointing at the pictures!

The book retails for just £4.95 which includes a set of pirate ship stamps worth £2.95!

It is available to buy on The Adventures Of Penny The Postie website http://www.pennythepostie.com/the-story.php

However, I have 3 copies to giveaway - well shiver me timbers! - and all you need to do to get your hands on a copy is to leave your twitter name so I can contact you! Closing date is Wednesday 27th October, 2010

That's it! So I bid you farewell me hearties!!
