Crow Point (Flashback Friday)

Burton has been asking me to take him to the beach for the last three weeks but owing to the cold weather and me being ill, I haven't been able to take him and Jenson. However, Tuesday morning was sunny and quite warm - ideal weather for taking the boys to the seaside - so we left the house just after 9.30am and set off with buckets and spades and wellington boots.

I decided to take the boys to a nearby estuary beach called Crow Point which is about 10 miles from where we live. It is a remote beach and you pay a toll to drive to it as its a privately owned road, but its worth the £1.50 because we had the beach to ourselves!

The boys were in their element and couldn't wait to make some sandcastles

They also did some 'rock climbing' and 'scraping'

They discovered pebbles with sea weed stuck to them

Found some driftwood

Went exploring in the sand

Did some jumping

Did some roly polies

Did some digging

Did some running

Pretended to be pirates

Looked at the glassy water and the reflections on the water of the sky and clouds

But most of all - we had fun and smiled a LOT

  7. This made me smile. Looked like your boys had so much fun and your photos are amazing. I would quite happily frame and hang the first one in my home and the 'exploring in the sand' is gorgeous how you've captured the light on the water.
