I am submitting this photo. It was taken the day before I started going into labour with Burton: the last place I visited before I became a Mummy!
I was at Lynton and Lynmouth here in North Devon. The photo was taken while I was riding on the cliff railway which is a unique Victorian water powered lift which operates between the two villages.
Wish you were here?
Happy Centenary!
Very picturesque! Love the colours.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo - the colours make it look quite 50s!
ReplyDeleteahhhh, lovely, yes would love to be there ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's such a great place. I've stood on that same spot, but no photo to show for it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture, looks like a lovely place to visit. Think I'd probably be a bit nervous though. I don't like heights when I'm on something moving. Such a wuss!
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks like Lake Garda x Beautiful Colous
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous photograph. Beautiful colours and scenery. And I love that there is a little story behind it, as it was taken just before your life completely changed and you became a mummy. X

ReplyDeleteLook at the colour of that sea, I've never been to Devon - it looks lovely. Great photo and would make a lovely postcard.
ReplyDeleteI like to think had you gone into labour on the lift you would have got free trips for life?!
ReplyDeleteWow that is absolutely gorgeous! Really clever too with the colours and the angle! Yes I do wish I was there.
ReplyDeleteBrave to be doing that the day before having your first baby! But worth the view I'd say :)

ReplyDeleteReally like how you've framed this with the lines running into the view.
ReplyDeleteOh this is really clever...drawing you eye, to a glimpse of sea and sand...love it!
ReplyDeleteLynton & Lynmouth - favourite places of my childhood holidays (we used to stay at Putsborough Sands) and that picture takes me straight back. Lovely

ReplyDeleteOh I've heard of this, I think we might have gone there when I was a child. Water-powered? That's very funky.
ReplyDeleteBought back lots of memories - we used to live down that way before moving to France 7 years ago - thanks for the trip!
ReplyDeleteOMG I have done this and loved it, and I had the most magnificent Ploughmans at a pub at the beginning of the town area. You just took me back a few years didn't manage it last visit but on the list for the next :)
