Picture Postcard - The Gallery

To celebrate her virtual Gallery having it's 100th week, this weeks theme set by Tara is Picture Postcard and one lucky Gallery entrant will get the chance to have their photograph entry made into a greetings card!

I am submitting this photo. It was taken the day before I started going into labour with Burton: the last place I visited before I became a Mummy!

I was at Lynton and Lynmouth here in North Devon. The photo was taken while I was riding on the cliff railway which is a unique Victorian water powered lift which operates between the two villages.

Wish you were here?

Happy Centenary!

  5. Gorgeous picture, looks like a lovely place to visit. Think I'd probably be a bit nervous though. I don't like heights when I'm on something moving. Such a wuss!

What a gorgeous photograph. Beautiful colours and scenery. And I love that there is a little story behind it, as it was taken just before your life completely changed and you became a mummy. X

Really like how you've framed this with the lines running into the view.

Lynton & Lynmouth - favourite places of my childhood holidays (we used to stay at Putsborough Sands) and that picture takes me straight back.  Lovely

  24. Oh I've heard of this, I think we might have gone there when I was a child. Water-powered? That's very funky.
