My Week That Was #9 (Project 365)

Quick Kick About (55/365)
We started today by making a few plans which then all got changed!! Instead we ended up playing in the garden, I did some baking and then we visited Appledore to see a house which OH's brother has bought to renovate. We were going to get the boys a guinea pig or hamster but when we arrived at the pet shop they were both asleep in the car!

Legs Apart (56/365)
Burton went to Ladybirds so Jenson and I walked to the playgroup near or old house. On the walk home, Jenson found it very funny to spread his legs and hang them over the ends of the pushchair handle......as you do!
Burton had to be collected early from pre school as she had fallen asleep at the table!! He was ok when he arrived home, but complained of a headache and was a bit quiet so it was time to get the calpol out.

Chocolate Cake Face (57/365)
Burton awoke this morning with the snuffles and a croaky voice, so I declared that today would be a pj day (not me though as I got dressed) and we would stay in. We made some chocolate cakes (which Jenson is modelling in the photo), did some painting and Burton made a dinosaur for Daddy's birthday.

Blow (58/365)
I took the boys outside for half an hour this morning as it was cold but dry and I decided that a little fresh air would do the boys good. They did some bubble blowing, or in Jensons case pouring bubble mixture onto the ground! Nothing too taxing as Burton is still not really himself. Then just before lunch Ben and Granma came for lunch and to play for the afternoon.
Daddy surprised me by arriving home tonight so I let the boys stay up to greet him.

Daddy's Birthday (59/365)
Last night OH set up our newly arrived trampoline so the boys would be surprised to see it at breakfast - which they were! We were outside bouncing on it by 9am!!
It was Daddy's birthday today so I baked a cake and when he arrived home at 7pm the boys took it in turns to blow the candle out with him and sang 'Happy Birthday' several times!

Bread For The Birds (60/365)
We spent this morning playing inside and out and the trampoline got more use! We also did our daily chore of scattering bread on the grass for the birds which the boys enjoy doing.
After lunch, the boys and I popped to Sainsburys so I could buy some new tops for Burton and pick up a few things including some crafty items like googly eyes and coloured card which Burton spent the rest of the afternoon using to make some 'creations' once we were home.

New Trampoline (61/365)
As I mentioned before, we now have a trampoline and since having it the boys have used it every day, and this morning after breakfast they went on it with Daddy.
The rest of the day has been spent visiting Gran, doing more crafty work and going to Granma's for a birthday tea for another of the boy's cousins. And the sun shone this afternoon :)

  9. Well done you on all your outdoor play, you are amazing! The kicking shot is great showing off the Dinosoles (The Boy is gutted that he's outgrown them, I think I'm going to have to *buy* some for his next pair of shoes!) and I adore Jenson's laidback position in the pushchair. Good work on the Ferrero Rocher cake, I am nabbing that for hubby's birthday in a few weeks time!

    Thanks for linking up.

  11. Looks like the Ferrero Rocher cake was a success. That means you won't be sending it to me? Such a shame! Great photos as usual Jenny. Bud has the same Mr Bump PJs and is outgrowing them, I'll be sad to see them go!
