My Week That Was #8 (Project 365)

At Ben's Birthday Party (48/365)
After a morning of Burton being a little 'trying' (to out it mildly), this afternoon we went to his cousins Ben's 4th birthday party at a local softplay centre. The boys LOVED it and wore me and Daddy out going around the centre and up and down the very fast slides.

Zip Wire (49/365)
It was sunny and dry this morning so the boys and I headed to the park with the scooter. It was sooooo cold despite the sunshine though but we stayed for a couple of hours and found lots of sticks, played in the playground and Burton rode his scooter through some very deep puddles!! He also enjoyed using the zip wire.

Boyz N Da Woods (50/365)
It was a gorgeous day today and the sky was blue and the sun was out and it was actually a little warmer, so I took the boys to Arlington Court a nearby National trust property. We had great fun having a picnic, feeding the birds, hugging and climbing trees in the 'Gruffalo' woods, pretending to fish at the lake and we went on a horse trail which the staff put on in the carriage house, and met some little Shetland Ponies too and the boys rode some hobby horses.

Slide Jumping (51/365)
My friend and her two daughters came to see us today which was good fun and always involves lots of cups of teas and some cake for her and I!!! She also kindly brought over an old slide which her girls no longer use anymore , but which Burton and Jenson were very excited to be given. We spent the afternoon playing in the garden where Burton and the girls jumped off the top of the slide!!!

Grampy's Digger (52/365)
The boys and I went to Granma and Grampy's house today as two of their cousins were there for the day. We went out in the garden in the afternoon and it was very cold but the children had fun playing on the swings, the slide, helping to feed the chickens and collect the eggs and sitting on Grampy's digger!!

Doctor Burton (53/365)
The boys love playing with the doctors set and here is Burton performing some 'operation' on Jenson's hand!!
I attempted to take the boys to my Mums for the night this morning, but my car broke down a few miles into my journey!! Anyway, in the end Mum came to collect the boys and drop me off home.
This afternoon I went and got my hair coloured and restyled and then tonight OH and I went out for tapas with some friends which was really nice.

Jenson & Monkey In The Tanglewood (54/365)
This morning I did some baking and cleaning. Then while OH sorted my car out Mum brought the boys back for lunch. Afterwards we went to a local stately home for a walk around their grounds and a visit to the 'Gruffalo' woods (a name we give Tanglewoods) for some hide and seek, and a little sit down with monkey!!
