Off To His First Pre-School Party (34/365)
Today was a day full of mixed emotions. Hearing about the loss of Matilda Mae was heartbreaking and just unbelievable. I am still utterly saddened by it now almost a week later writing this.
Still, life has to go on and in between the sadness we spent a family lunch at OH's parents with all his brothers and their families. Then this afternoon, Burton attended a party for a friend at Ladybirds and I went along too. Awwww my little boy at his first pre school party - the photo shows him just about to go in.
Cheeeeeeeeese! (35/365)
Burton went to Ladybirds after an hour of trying to get him to get dressed!!!
Jenson and I had a friend and her son come to see us for lunch and to allow the two boys to play.
After pre school I took Burton and Jenson to the garden centre for a run around and a drink in their cafe. The photo shows them posing and almost hugging for the camera in the garden centre's Jungle Land.
Grin And Bear Hat (36/365)
In between the showers the boys and I went outside in the garden on a 'recycling treasure hunt' which was basically my way of getting the boys to help me pick up all of the recyclable items which had been emptied out onto the lawn and shrubbery last night in the high winds!!
The photo shows Jenson having fun running around.
Like Two Old Men (37/365)
Granma and Ben came for most of the day and the boys enjoyed playing outside running around pretending to be monsters and having races with some toy cars.
The photo shows them looking like a pair of old men! They set this up themselves while I was making their tea once Ben and Granma had left - I thought it was really funny.
Cars And Stones (38/365)
It was my Nanny's 80th birthday today so she, my Mum and my Aunty (Nanny's youngest sister) came for a birthday lunch of homemade soup (made by me) and a homemade coffee and walnut birthday (made by mum). It was lovely to have them all here and help my nanny celebrate her first birthday since Na passed away last December.
The photo shows Burton playing outside before our guests arrived with the cars and the stones - the boys love playing with those stones!!
Through The Blue Round Window (39/365)
We spent this morning watching some Peppa Pig, drawing and painting which both boys loved as they ended up discarding their paint brushes in favour of their hands!!
After lunch while Jenson napped (while Daddy worked from home) I took Burton to a playground we have only been to once before. He had a great time climbing and balancing and swinging around! The photo shows him playing peepo with me.
Sluuuuurrrrrping Spaghetti (40/365)
A miserable day weather wise which was such a shame as I wanted to take the boys out to the park but it didnt stop all day.
This afternoon my Mum, Step Dad, Nanny and Aunty came for a birthday tea party for my Nanny's 80th - yes we gave her two special days afterall, its not everyday you are 80. I made an afternoon tea with yummy tea time things and a cream tea (mmmm!) with scones made by my Mum.
The photo shows Jenson tucking into his lunch where he found it funny to sluuuurrp and suck spaghetti into his mouth and kept doing it to make us laugh too!
