Getting About On Two Wheels And Three Wheels

So the New Year arrived and with it saw the first dry day in about a fortnight complete with blue sky and some sunshine!! Holy moley batman!

So I hurried up and got myself the OH and boys ready and we went out on our bikes to the park. It was, however, bitterly cold but we were all wrapped up well and I was just pleased to be outdoors as a family enjoying some rain free time. Plus since we moved we had not visited the park in ages - a good four weeks at least I would say, mostly due to the bad weather!

Since Tuesday, the weather has returned to the 3 D's - dull, drab and drizzly! There have been brief dry spells but on the whole WET........again!

Still, we have been out every day even if only for 25 minutes in between showers and on Wednesday we wrapped up in our waterproofs and went out anyway in the relentless drizzle, because rain does at least mean puddles!

However, my main reason for ensuring we made it out every day is because Burton was given a scooter for Christmas (Jenson was too but he is a bit small for his) , and where we are living at the moment there are plenty of pavements and cul-de-sacs which are ideal for any budding scooter rider! And with its flashing lights, riding a scooter at dusk is great fun too as well, of course, through any puddles we come across on our walks.

Jenson has enjoyed being allowed some buggy free walk time even if it was only for a short while and playing peek a boo from behind a lamppost is very amusing! And a little brother is useful to have around when big brother falls off his scooter and needs a hand back up.

  1. Awwww, that looks fantastic fun- especially love the zip/ swing and the slide, but don't think anything's so cute as little bro coming to big bro's rescue. Very sweet.

  6. Lovely photos, Jenson looks so cheeky in the bottom few shots. Did the flashing lights come with the scooter? I wouldn't mind some for Bud's new scooter.

Great photos. I love that you make such an effort to get out. I try the same with my wee man but the rain does make it hard.
