Remember Remember The 25th December

With Christmas now less than 5 weeks away, I am starting to think about all of the things that need to be done to make it the festive fun time I like it to be.

This year I am going to my Mums which means that I wont be cooking the Christmas dinner, but being the enthusiastic baker and pudding maker I am, I will be offering to make a few goodies by way as a thank you to my Mum for having us on the day. So, although I do not need to worry about all the food organisation that comes with planning the most anticipated meal all year, I still have sooooooo many other tasks that need addressing between now and the 25th December.

Here are a few off the top of my head:

*Making, ordering, writing and posting the Christmas cards
(I am always late doing this and then there are always cards leftover whose recipients never received them. due to me leaving it too late to post them in time!)

*Choosing, buying and wrapping all the presents I need to get for everyone
(I do enjoy this but it does take a while!)

*Remembering to send the presents by post
(I am always late doing this too so I must ensure I check Parcelforce to keep up to date with their delivery service)

*Getting the tree
(we have a real one and I want to put it up earlier this year, as I love seeing it up and not doing so until the weekend before Christmas Day seems too late for me).

*Making the Christmas Pudding and mince pies
(leaving it a bit late with the former!)

*Keeping on top of all the reviews, blog posts and other social media commitments I have
(always more at this time of year)

*And on top of all this we have just sold our house so at any time we could have to move!!!!!
(aaaaarggghhh!)

I think what I really need to do is to get myself an organiser with which to organise myself so I wont forget these festive duties that befalls me every year. Infact what I need is someone to organise me - my own personal organiser now that is an idea! I may never forget anything ever again.

Oh blast, I almost forgot its my brothers birthday on Sunday ...........see always something to remember to do!

What do you do to keep on top of all your Christmas preparations?

This is a sponsored post, although I really am that forgetful and unorganised!

  3. I keep everything in my head, a bit silly really as I have a silly amount to do with the business and the family. Then I wonder why I find it hard to switch off and sleep at night!
