As soon as I saw the theme I tweeted Tara and explained that as a mum of a new-born and a toddler I never have the time to chill out, to which another mummy tweeter added that neither did she!
Its true though, the only time I can relax at the moment is when I am asleep, and that is something I am not getting very much of and when I do sleep it is very intermittent!! To be honest, even before I was a Mummy I was never very good at relaxing and taking the time to chill and have some 'me' time. In every job I have had I was always on the go, and would take the days problems home with me, not able to fully let go. Always mulling work related issues over in my head; never really switching off and, therefore, not able to relax. I think the only time I ever really chilled out was when I went on holiday and got away from everything and would leave my worries behind.
So I will show examples instead of my two favourite boys chilling. It amazes me how peaceful, serene and beautiful babies and children look while they sleep. I love to watch my two while they are in the land of nod.
So here is a recent photo of Burton chilling in his cot!
And here is Jenson chilled out after a long morning last Thursday, when it took 5 hours to settle him to sleep!
I only wish I was able to be as chilled out as they both appear in these photos :)

ReplyDeleteI love these pics. The first one cos it looks like lots of fun has been had and the second cos almost prayer-like. I like you find it hard to chill so struggled with this week's Gallery theme
ReplyDeleteLovely pics, I like the contrast between Burton spread in his bed with the toys and Jenson and his folded hands!
