Flashback Friday 2009



In honour of it being Mothering Sunday this weekend I have chosen some photos taken on Mothers Day back in 2009. I was 6 months pregnant with Burton at the time.

What made this day extra special was that my brother made the effort to meet up with Mum and we don't see him that often so i knew Mum would be very happy about him seeing her on Mothers Day. I also arranged for her Mum and her brother to meet with us. So all in all there was me, my Brother, Mum, our step Dad, my Uncle and his fiancé and my grandparents. We met just outside Swindon as that was a good meeting point, for my brother who got the train from London and my grandparents who live near Marlborough and my uncle who travelled down from Manchester.

We only had time to eat a lovely lunch and take some photos, but it was a lovely family get together which doesn't happen very often.

    ahh lovely, and you just managed to get your little one born before this Mothers Day too, well done, extra cards & gifts your way!! On Mothers Day 2009 I was pregnant too, he arrived 2 days later so I missed out on my extra card that year!

    lovely family memories! this weekend we are having a big gathering for my gran's 94th and she will have all her boys around her plus a couple of (great)grandchildren. Great moments to treasure

    I remember this mothers day too as I think it was the 20 something of March (22nd) and my daughter was about 10 days old :)
