What Are Your Highs & Lows From 2011 - Meme

I have been tagged by Maeve a new blogging friend from How To Be A Happy Housewife who was tagged by Kate over at KateOnThinIce , and the amazing and lover of all things purple, Ella from
Purple Mum to share our highs and lows of 2011 through a serious of questions.

So here goes..........

1). What was your happiest event?
The birth of my second child, Jenson on 30th March, 11 days earlier than my due date.

2). What was the saddest thing to happen?
Being told that my Na (Grandad) could have cancer. I say could because he is still awaiting tests to know for sure.

3). What was the most unlikely thing to happen that actually went ahead and did?
Probably me losing my bay weight so fast. I put over 4 stone on while pregnant with Jenson but managed to shift it all by October by joining Slimming World. I still want to lose another stone but that was on hold with Christmas approaching and me starting a cake making linky! I plan to start that again once the last of my biscuits have been eaten!

4). Who let you down?
Sometimes I feel I let myself down, like when I am tired and my patience is less and is being tested by Burton and his tantrums
Other times I feel let down by my OH who I believe could be more considerate.

5). Who supported you?
My mum and my OH's Mum when Jenson was first born in helping out with Burton.
Kimberly for being there during Jenson's labour
My OH during my labour with Jenson and in those  first few weeks after Jenson was born
My twitter and blogging friends in their comments on my blog

6). Tell us one thing you learned?
You can look after a newborn and a toddler with only 2 hours sleep for several weeks!  In fact you can do many things (maybe not as well) on very little sleep!

7). Tell us one thing that made you laugh
Burton - he can be sooooo funny

8). Tell us one thing that made you cry
Comic Relief the footage of the ill or dying children in Africa - heartbreaking.

9). Tell us 3 things that your child/children did to make you proud
*Burton swam with armbands on his own and picked up diving sticks off the bottom of the pool

*While out on his bike on the pavement near our house, a woman stepped off onto the road to let him (and me) past and without being prompted Burton said "thank you''

*Becoming potty trained so quickly - he was brilliant

*On the whole, being a loving and wonderful big brother to Jenson

Sorry I put 4!!

10). Tell us one thing that made you proud of yourself
Giving birth without using hardly any pain relief and just gong through labour again - its not exactly a walk in the park on a nice day is it?

11). Tell us one challenge you overcame
Becoming a mummy to two I guess, before Jenson was born I was excited about my new baby but also worried about how I would cope with a newborn and a 19 month old. I was also concerned what impact the baby would have on Burton.
Still I survived - am surviving - and it was probably as good and bad as I was expecting.

12). Tell us 3 things you would like to change about your life in 2012
My weight, a new house with a little garden and to get more sleep (please boys!)

The End!

Now I need to tag some more people so I choose the following:

thank you :)

  4. wow! this sound deep...I will think a bit *scratches head* and will try and do it soon. My style is to remove the bad and just try and think of the good or slightly insane. I think I did that when I was 5 and my dad died and kind of never stopped. anyhow, as it is you asking, I might do it.
BTW, so jealous that you lost your baby weight! G is 6 month older than J, she is my first and I am still heavier than I was before. Dukan diet helped, but Christmas, backache & no exercise ruined it a bit. Back on the wagon tomorrow hopefully. x
