Still trying to find that elusive stocking filler for a little person?
Well, if you have a tractor and farm fan in your family then Tractor Ted could be the answer to your Christmas present quandry. With a wide range of gift ideas available from DVD's, clothing, books and meal time accessories Tractor Ted is every aspiring tractor drivers new best friend.
This little green tractor not only entertains but educates youngsters all about farm and countryside life, using a mix of animation and real life footage. The concept was created by mum of 3, Andrea Heard, back in 2005, after her children would ask her to stop and watch the farm machines at work in the fields when they were young. Together with David Horler, aWiltshire/Somerset farmer , Tractor Ted was born to help answer and show children life down on the farm and living in the countryside.
Burton, his daddy, grandad and I watched the newest, and 16th, DVD in the Tractor Ted series Mighty Maize Machine. Now I have to be honest, even though these DVD's are aimed a 2-6 year olds, I learnt so much from watching the work that takes place on the Dorset Dairy! I couldn't believe the size of the forage harvester which is featured - its huuuuge! I also LOVED the song which accompanied this part of the DVD which was all about this awesome piece of farming machinery "it's amaaaaazig.....how the maize gets in" ; yes a song written about a forage harvester- brilliant!
Anyway, enough about what I thought of the DVD *ahem* ! Burton's attention was held by Tractor Ted and I really liked how as each new task was under taken on the farm it was explained to the viewer and names of the tasks and machines were shown on the screen. It certainly makes you realise how much time and effort running a farm entails and the scale of the jobs and machinery being filmed. Burton excitedly pointed familiar things out to me like the tractors and the cows and he seemed to take it all in. His daddy and grandad, both of whom have farming backgrounds, were engrossed in the DVD too and enjoyed discussing the machinery with each other! We all agreed that by using real life footage it really helped to see the farming processes that take place and is so good for learning what things are and what they do. I think this actually educates farm fans of all ages!
As I mentioned at the start, Tractor Ted merchandise would make ideal presents for your little ones and there is an array of great products available exclusively from the TractorLand website including:

screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is

people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.
